Charging 36V & 48V LFP batteries with a single bank charger

Charging a 51.2V 72Ah Battery Graph

Note: If you do not know the difference between a Series and a Parallel setup check out our blog talking about them here.

Charging a single 36V LFP Battery

Charging a single 36V LFP battery is very simple, all you need to do is put the M8 ring connector that you receive with your Lynac charger on the negative and positive (wires are coloured as such). Then fasten the bolt on top of it.

You will then plug the PP Anderson Connector into the matching colour of your 36V Charger.

Charging a single 48V LFP Battery

Charging a single 48V LFP battery is the same as a 36V, all you need to do is put the M8 ring connector that you receive with your Lynac charger on the negative and positive (wires are coloured as such). Then fasten the bolt on top of it.

You will then plug the PP Anderson Connector into the matching colour of your 48V Charger.

How to charge a 36V LFP Battery System

This image shows how to charge a 36V LFP Battery System using 12.8V LFP batteries with balancers.

As you can see the Black lines are connected to the negative output of the battery and the Red wire is connected to the positive output of the battery. The grey wire in-between is connecting the batteries. The balancers attached to each battery is making sure the voltage is distributed the same across all 3 batteries, you will also have to connect the balancers to each other so they communicate with each other so they know they are in a 36V Series.

From there on you would connect the positive from the charger to the positive of the first battery in the Series, and the negative of the charger to the negative of the last battery in the Series.

How to charge a 48V LFP Battery System

In a 48V LFP Battery System, you would do exactly the same thing as the 36V System except there is an extra battery you will have to put in the series.

Make sure you are using a 48V charger in a 48V system and a 36V charger in a 36V system.
